Our Objective

After Mahaweli Development Project was established considering national and educational objectives, there emerged a newly cultured civilization. Our objective is to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes of Mahaweli settlers’ younger generation in order to make them courageous and obedient when facing future challenges.

B/Ulhitiya Maha Vidyalaya

B/Ulhitiya Maha Vidyalaya is situated in Badulla district, in Uva province under the influence of Uva Provincial Council. It belongs to Mahiyangana Educational Zone. This school is in Ulhitiya – a village in the close proximity to newly built town Girandurukotte, under the Mahaweli Development Project. Despite it’s a remote area from the capital city with less facilities, Ulhitiya is a nice place for the pupils to quench their thirsty for knowledge. B/Ulhitiya Maha Vidyalaya holds a renowned position in the area attending successfully in both education and extra curricular activities, making its pupils skilled with a sound knowledge. This school has been striving to make its greater contribution to offer highly valued, educated citizens for the betterment of our motherland.
